Fully Qualified Electrician:

This role is at the heart of what we do, meeting our customer’s requirements and providing the highest-level installation workmanship with a customer first approach.

The role is both practical and organisational, it will include installation and management of the electrical elements of high-quality solar panel, battery, EV charging and monitoring systems.

The work we do is both AC and DC and will require confidence working with both single-phase and three-phase electrics, ideally up to the 100-kW scale.

You will be based in Cambridge and will also cover the Oxford area with potential work elsewhere as and when required.

 

  • Undertaking site visits to determine the most appropriate cable routes and hardware installation locations
  • Specifying appropriate electrical products for specific jobs
  • Inspecting and testing existing single phase and three phase circuits. 
  • Installing and testing of new single phase and three phase circuits. 
  • Installing and testing electrical elements of solar PV systems.  
  • Installing and testing EV charging points. 
  • Installing and testing surge protection devices. 
  • Installing and testing wireless and hardwired monitoring systems.  
  • Supervising and mentoring a growing team of individuals.  
  • Demonstrating and supporting clients with their system operation.  
  • Completing all necessary certificates and paperwork. 
  • Work in accordance with MCS/NICEIC regulations.
  • Work in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations and company polices.
  • Work on both existing and new build installations.
  • Work on both domestic and commercial systems.

Qualifications/Key Skills:

 

  • You will be a fully qualified electrician: 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations. 
  • You will be fully qualified in C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing. 
  • Hold a ECS Card.
  • Hold a full UK driver’s license. 
  • You will be able to deal with customers in a polite, professional, and efficient manner.
  • You will be organised, a clear communicator and computer literate. 
  • You will be a team player, with a positive attitude and a thirst for learning new products and technologies in the solar PV, battery storage and EV sector. 
  • You will be presentable, considerate and remain calm and professional when dealing with customers, sub-contractors, and colleagues even when under pressure. 
  • You will be motivated and thrive on delivering the highest level of installation services both technically and from a customer services perspective.

Hours of Work:

Full time position of 40hrs per week, working Monday – Friday but with occasional requirement to meet commissioning deadlines. Flexible working options available.

Location of Work:

Cambridge/ Oxford/ Mobile

£35,000.00 per year

Site Surveyor – Solar

Site Surveyor and Handovers:

This role is at the heart of what we do, carrying out accurate and detailed site surveys to ensure we are meeting our customer requirements, through a customer first approach.

The role is both practical and organisational, and it will include scheduling customers site surveys for high-quality solar panel, battery, EV charging and monitoring systems. As well as undertaking handover meetings once systems are installed and operating to end customers. You will be based in Cambridge and will also cover the Oxford area with potential work nationwide as and when required.

 

  • Undertaking pre-installation site visits both online and in person.
  • Working with the sales and installation teams to ensure the customers’ requirements are fully understood.
  • Gathering detailed and accurate site data following company guidelines and checklist and updating the CRM accordingly.
  • Uploading all data gathered, image, measurements on the company shared drive and customer database.
  • Sharing site data across departments, communicating any issues that could affect the success of an installation.
  • Keeping in communication with the sales and installation team throughout the install process.
  • Delivering high quality handovers to customers, by being a friendly technical expert.
  • Demonstrating and supporting customers with their system operation.
  • Ensuring customers are confident in using their monitoring systems before leaving site.
  • Feeding back any initial customer issues to the installation team.
  • Work in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations and company polices.
  • Work on both existing and new build installations.
  • Work on both domestic and commercial systems.

Qualifications/Key Skills:

 

  • Hold a full UK driver’s license.
  • You will be willing to travel nationwide as and when required.
  • You will be able to deal with customers in a polite, professional, and efficient manner.
  • You will be organised, a clear communicator and computer literate.
  • You will be a team player, with a positive attitude and a thirst for learning new products and technologies in the solar PV, battery storage and EV sector.
  • You will be presentable, considerate and remain calm and professional when dealing with customers, sub-contractors, and colleagues even when under pressure.
  • You will be motivated and thrive on delivering the highest level of site surveys and handovers both technically and from a customer services perspective.
  • You will be a good timekeeper and able to manage schedules.

Administrative Assistant:

This role is crucial to our success and involves ensuring all administrative tasks are completed to the highest standard to support the company in meeting installation and commissioning deadlines for solar photovoltaic, battery storage and EV charger systems for commercial and domestic customers, through a customer first approach. You will be working in our friendly and growing Machynlleth office:

 

  • Providing general administrative support to the sales team and project team.
  • Managing and maintaining the calendar for upcoming site visits and installations.
  • Working closely with the sales team scheduling site surveys.
  • Serving as a main point of contact.
  • Answering customer queries through telephone and email.
  • Channelling enquiries via telephone and email to the relevant individuals/teams.
  • Ensuring administrative deadlines are met for upcoming installations and projects.
  • Liaising between other departments within the company.
  • Supporting the DNO application process through administrative tasks.
  • Managing the administration side of tender and grant applications.
  • Supporting customers, by understanding and relaying key information in an easy-to-understand format to support the
  • success of an installation.
  • Maintaining customer records through our customer database, project management software and company shared drive.
  • Attending daily sales and operational meetings, providing progress reports, and communicating any issues.
  • Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed within agreed time scales, accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Supporting the Project Team with any additional tasks.
  • Applying a can-do attitude with accuracy and efficiency enjoyably.

Qualifications/Key Skills:

 

  • Experience dealing with new clients over Email and Telephone.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and customer databases.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Confident in decision-making.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise upcoming installations.
  • Able to deal with all types of customers in a polite, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Able to work as a team player and on their own.
  • A positive attitude for dealing with customers.
  • Attention to detail.

Hours of Work:

Full time position of 40hrs per week, working Monday - Friday. Flexible working options available.
